More About Me
My Practical Transformation Coaching is the culmination of my lifetime of contemplation and curiosity, which began in June of 1967, as I entered the world 8 weeks premature, weighing in at 2 pounds 12 ounces. After weeks in a hospital incubator, my birth mother relinquished me and I spent months in foster care until my parents adopted me at 8 months. This was a time when little if any information was passed on, so my parents filled in the blanks with their own gratitude over the gifts that my older sister and I were to them. These were not just words. I felt that gratitude and love, and it’s always been mutual.
Later in life, when I was 46 and had two children of my own, I made the decision to search for my birth mother, and that story continues to be a happy one. Many questions were answered for both of us, and she is an important member of my family.
It feels important to share this story of how I entered the world, and how it’s informed my actions ever since. Gratitude was a part of my unspoken language since before gratitude was “a thing.” I was a painfully shy child, and I’ve had my own questions and human struggles. That said, under the surface I’ve always experienced a feeling of being looked after, protected and guided in a way that’s difficult to put into words. For me, the glass has always – regardless of the situation – been half-full, and over the years I’ve come to know the deeper meaning behind this positive outlook. Every experience – challenging or not – has been a lesson that I’m grateful for.
As the challenges on Earth have intensified, this is the lens and perspective that fuels me in my work. My life has been infused with a desire to help. As a certified and ICF-credentialed Practical Transformation coach, I’m able to combine my years of experience and evolving spiritual connection, to help you understand why you’re here… now… and follow the practical pathways you’re meant to follow to create positive and impactful transformation in our world.
Note: if you (or the audience your organization serves) are presently unable to function emotionally in your daily life, then coaching is not advisable at this time. Once you work with the right licensed therapist or other licensed clinician, and are feeling emotionally stable, then I’d be happy to have a conversation about how I can help you move forward with your personal and/or professional aspirations.
